Ad's of the past said this stuff!?!

"They're happy because they eat Lard", "Blow in her face and she'll follow you everywhere", and more importantly "How? With sanitized Tapeworms eat all you want and never get fat". Okay the first and last ones are just wrong, eating lard and using tapeworms? The advertisment companies back then didn't really care to do their research huh. The catch phrases from the Camel products like "More doctors smoke CAMEL then any other cigerette", are so cheesy it hurts. Not only did all these catch phrases work but it caused many people to live a very un-healthy life. All of these things are extremely terrible to ingest or use, of course they didn't know that back then so who could blame them. They could of at least did some more research to see if the "products", were safe. Don't even get me started on the cigerettes the people who've been smoking them can tell you if they were beneficial in the past and present.

Social awareness in Media

I never knew that axe and dove were owned bny the same company. While dove is focusing on how media today is corrupting our view on people and confronting stereotypes towards beauty, axe is throughing that away and totally contradicting it. In the Dove commercial it shows how much women would go through to get into an ad only to be completely turned into someone they're not showing how media twists the image of people. While axe is saying to men if you use they're products, hundreds maybe thousands of beautiful women will be begging to get a peice of you. Well of course, results may vary. It's really peculiar to see this one company fighting to stop negative media and also spreading it. This attempt to gain customers on in both depatments is working quite well, so their true intention is to solely gain customers.

Viedo games of today

Pong, Space invaders and then Pacman, these were the basis and inspirations that made the highly advanced games and game consoles of today. From that momment video games would never be the same. NES to the Wii, Xbox to Xbox360 and PS1-Ps3. Two of them even branched out into portable gaming systems like the Gameboy to the NDS and PSP. Not only has graphics been increased to the point its almost realistic but with upcoming things like the Xbox NATAL , Ps3 wand and the wii which already came out, one can literally participate in the game. With the swing of a remote or hand you could hit a baseball or grab a sword as you defend yourself from zombies. Video games today are so advanced that Its truly a marvel to remember not so long ago Pong was all the rave, and from now on they're only gonna get better. Games are gonna get more technologically advanced and have better features, gameplay, graphics and appeal. There's no end to the possibilities that come from the video game industry.

Image of Women

The image of women these days are so ultered and over-judged that nothing makes sense anymore. Super skinny, close to anorexic women portraying what women should look like? That's not right, especially the Ralph Lauren picture. Although the person did put some dedication into the photoshop, I'm kidding. These models are causing such a negative influence on young women today that they believe that if they don't look like this perceived "perfection", no one will appreciate them, let alone like them. These people are probably even't real when it comes to there physique. It's all about spray tans, crash diets and liposuction. I cen even name some guys who would be disgusted by these overly skinny models. Magazines who are making a difference, using "normal", peo0ple in their magazine are helping to stop this stereotypical way of life. Hopefully the young women of today will be knowledgeable enough to not listen to this negative type of media.

Tax on Pop?

To be honest i never knew this was such a critical subject, then again I never knew that pop could be this un-healthy to your body. When talking about taxes on pop is just plain dumb. Why would anyone pay extra for a can of Pepsi? I can fully tell you if they did put taxes on pop then many people would protest against it. This dosen't mean I don't see the other side of this arguement. After seeing those videos and doing a little extra research on the side, the government has good reason to put taxes on pop. This is a horrible way of approaching things though. They should be targeting the companies to make delicious drinks while keeping the fat and sugar contents low, and no, not more diet soft drinks. In conclusion rather putting taxes on pop they should put more research into the companies to lower fat and sugar levels.

Google street view

While many people say that this program is an invasion of privacy and a negative influence, it actually isn't. Google street view is actually a very beneficial program to help many people with findind there away to a certain place. Google is solely using this program for the benefit of the population, they're not trying to invade privacy. People who see this as a potential "threat", privacy hood probably have something to hide in the first place. These people have to stop being paranoid or over sensitive and look at the positive means this program provides. This program not only lets you know the exact adress of the location but gives an option of a visual aid to fully get to know the place. This especially comes in handy for people who are horrible at using maps. One could simply get a street view and know where there going. Overall this is a beneficial and knowledgeable program
